Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is a comprehensive home improvement program using the latest
technologies to increase your home's energy performance.
Using a "whole house approach," as certified contractors we look at all the components of your home;
heating/cooling equipment, insulation levels, air infiltration, windows/doors. Then show you exactly how to
maximize energy efficiency.
The first step is the Comprehensive Home Assessment, or Energy Audit. During the Audit, we will take
inventory of and report the conditions of your home using several tools and pieces of equipment to
include a CO analyzer and a Blower Door. We will report on the following:
* Health & Safety (CO Levels/Moisutre/Electrical problems)
* Air-Infiltration rates
* Insulation levels
* Domestic Hot Water system
* Heating System efficiency
* Cooling system (if applicable)
* Distribution system (ductwork)
* Lighting
* Major appliances
We will then take this information and using computer software, develop 'Your Home Assessment'. This
assessment will recommend improvements that can be done to make your home more energy efficient and
comfortable, as well as improvement costs and the estimated payback time frame.
